Porcelain Tile Care – Process

To restore porcelain tile and clean the grout around it to a beautiful finish we have developed and perfected a strong procedure over the last two decades. It includes protecting the furniture, carpet and other obstacles in your home.

Our procedures will not damage carpets, cabinets, faceboards or appliances. And there are no toxic chemicals used in your home that could potentially cause any type of damage.

First we lay down our neutral-pH cleaning detergent to soap and loosen up the dirt that can be embedded in the tile and grout.

Our floor machines have different brush attachments for many types of tile and grout. Here we are using a brush designed for ceramic and porcelain tiles. It cleans deep into the crevices and texture, and also deep into the pores of the grout.

We thoroughly scrub the surface and extract the dirty water. We then rinse the surface and prep it for grout sealing.

Then air movers are placed to dry out the surface before the seal is applied to the grout. Sealing the grout provides a protective barrier that not only protects it from stains but also makes routine cleaning and maintenance much easier.

Grout can be sealed with a clear penetrating sealer or it can be color-sealed with our heavy duty color seal. Color sealing has the added advantage that it allows you to completely change the color of your grout… or go back to the original color.
